About the Artist

I was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in 1992, and raised in Israel. I picked up a pencil at five years old and never really put it down. From a young age I worked with private art teachers who helped me sharpen my skills, and that early start grew into a lifelong pursuit. I went on to study art in high school and later design at H.I.T., building a foundation that was both instinctive and formally trained.

My path into art has never been a straight line, and I like it that way. For several years I worked as a tattoo artist, learning to draw directly on skin, to commit, and to make every line count. That chapter taught me a discipline and intimacy with my craft that still shapes how I work today.

A turning point came when I was introduced to the Israeli artist Uri Dushi and began working as his assistant. After several years at his side, he recommended me to Calman Shemi. Calman took me on and taught me his technique personally, a gift I don’t take lightly. After his passing, I stayed on in his studio, creating a catalogue of his remaining works and helping carry his legacy forward.

Today I work across mixed media, exploring soft painting, impasto, and lacquer to build texture, depth, and surfaces that invite a second look. Both self-taught and formally trained, I bring everything I’ve gathered along the way, from Tashkent to Israel, from skin to canvas, into each new piece. My work is the sum of that journey, and it’s still unfolding.
